Service dog training programs

 A service dog is a well trained dog that accompanies a person who needs the dog due to a disability. A service dog will work for that person by helping them through their day by performing task that the person might not otherwise be able to do. 

The services that we train here at Vital K9:

- Mobility 

- Scent work for allergies

-PTSD

At Vital K9 we want to make sure our clients have success from the start! Our service dog training program starts with our trainer helping an individual pick the right puppy for service work. Once the puppy is old enough to leave their mom training begins! 

Service dog training does take 18 - 26 months. Be that through private lessons with our trainer. An option for individuals that want to have their dog with them and do the training themselves. Or the dog's training is mainly with the trainer. This option is where the dog lives with our trainers for most of their training and has stays with their owner to bond until the dog is fully trained.
